About

Angela Trolove (nō  Kotirana, nō Airana ōna tīpuna) is a writer and arts reviewer based in Ōtepoti Dunedin, Aotearoa New Zealand.

She has edited for Theatreview NZ and taught creative writing at Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka the University of Otago. In 2024 she blogged weekly about basking through the seasons. She is currently working on a collection of short stories.

Trolove writes to figure out what’s going on and to pay homage to texture. She may have some way to go, but her ambition is to make artists cry and readers scream. Her prose has been described as imagistic, unflinching and engaging.
